Becca Rodriguez, DO in Emmy®-Nominated PBS Documentary!

Dr. Becca Rodriguez was filmed in a documentary for PBS​, and it’s nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy® Award! SciGirls Stories: Latinas at Work features Dr. Rodriguez as a mentor to teenage girls about sports medicine. The 30-minute documentary also includes other stories about Latinas in STEM careers, which includes science, technology, engineering, and math. They discuss their inspiring paths to careers where Latinas are historically under-represented, as well as their personal and cultural experiences as Latina women.

Latinas at Work is part of Twin Cities PBS (TPT)’s SciGirls initiative which, for the last 13 years, has created programming to educate girls about STEM careers. Latinas at Work premiered in May 2018 and is available for viewing on PBS online. The 19th Annual Upper Midwest Emmy® Awards will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
